Early Sunday morning, Portland Police Bureau detectives booked 25-year-old Brandon Jacob Gooding into the Multnomah County Jail on a charge of Attempt to Elude by Vehicle and a Parole Violation. He will be arraigned on Monday. Gooding was treated and released at a Portland hospital.
The investigation into the kidnapping and pursuit is continuing and Gooding is expected to face multiple additional charges.
Both injured officers were treated and released from a Portland hospital.

In the evening hours of Saturday April 4, 2015, Portland Police officers from East Precinct, North Precinct and the Canine Unit responded to I-205 southbound to assist Clark County (WA) law enforcement officers who were in pursuit of a possibly armed kidnapping suspect.
The suspect vehicle exited the freeway and the pursuit ended at Southeast 92nd Avenue and Holgate Boulevard with damage to several police cars and the suspect vehicle.
The suspect has been taken into custody and was transported to a Portland hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Two Portland Police officers with non-life-threatening injuries are being taken to a Portland hospital by fellow officers.
Investigators have learned that the suspect kidnapped his girlfriend in Portland and drove her to Vancouver, Washington, where she was able to escape and call 9-1-1.
Detectives are responding to the scene to investigate the kidnapping and related pursuit.
Traffic in the area will be affected for several hours due to the damaged vehicles.
