Meet “Trooper” the newest member of the #OSPFamily.
Late last week, OSP received a call of a kitten on Interstate 5 near Wilsonville. Troopers swooped in for the rescue and one of our dispatchers gave it a forever home.

UPDATE: @ORStatePolice have shared a photo of evidence collected at the scene of a fatal hit & run in Klamath Falls on Saturday in hopes that the public will recognize the piece or damage to a car that matches it.

OSP follow 5 core values that represent the “moral compass” of the Department. We are committed to living these values every day & embodying them in our daily activities as public safety professionals.
If you’re camping in your RV or tent this weekend, and have a #campfire, never leave it unattended. Before going to bed or leaving the campsite, drown all embers with water, stir the coals, and drown again. Repeat until the fire is out. #FireSafety #BelieveInFireSafety

Both of these drivers tried to use the good old, "I'm late for my final" excuse. Guess what, there is no excuse for this excessive speed!
#Speed is one of OSP's Fatal Five for a reason.
Just DON'T do it!
Don't pick up young wildlife you think may be abandoned - mom is likely nearby feeding.
This fawn was recovered by @MyODFW and @OSP_Fish after being illegally removed from the wild - thankfully, mom was still nearby.
WEEK 1 ✔️
OSP Recruit Troopers, who are currently in OSP’s Pre-Academy training on their way to become Troopers, have completed their first week of training with many more to go.
Dennis Day's body was recovered two months ago, however, the @ORStatePolice have released a timeline on the investigation that dates back to July13, 2018 when Day's husband first fell in their home.
Happening now: #OSFM is a proud participant in the annual Metro Area Wildland School, taking place near Molalla today and tomorrow; 104 students and 30 cadre from 33 fire agencies are conducting on hands-on training. Thanks @MolallaFire and all participating partners. 4
