4 Men Arrested in Child Sex Sting – Washington County

On Thursday four men were caught by an undercover child predator sting conducted by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

The men were charged with luring a minor and first-degree sexual corruption of a child.

During the sting, investigators used multiple dating apps, social media sites, and other online platforms to pose as underage boys and girls. The people who contacted the profiles and offered to meet a person they believed to be a child for sex. When the individuals arrived to meet the child they were arrested by law enforcement.

The men arrested have been identified as Matthew Goldman, 30, of Tigard, Jesus Rodriguez-Garcia, 27, of Forest Grove, Gerardo Serrano-Garcia, 25, of Hillsboro, and Ruben Olvera-Gaona, 54, of Forest Grove, who was also arrested for a warrant out of Washington County for giving false information to a police officer.

According to police, several people immediately ended their conversations when they realized they were talking to someone who explicitly provided their age as under 18.

Detectives believe there may be more victims of these men. Rodriguez-Garcia made statements while talking to the decoy that he had previously engaged in sexual contact with other minors.
